Can Am have recently released their new Side by Side 4×4 utility ATV, the Defender.
Available in four variations starting from the entry level at £7,160 for the basic Defender, up to £15,440, which gets you the Defender XT Cab, a fully enclosed cab with heater, wipers tilt opening windscreen, sliding rear window and electric operating side door windows. Power steering is fitted to the upper three models with an array of accessories to suit your work or sporting activities.
Can Am have taken a lot of thought during the development of this little truck with a well laid out dash incorporating cup holders, grab rails, recessed switch gear, stash points for kit and the transmission shifter.
Seating is for three in the cab with storage boxes beneath and the drivers seating position is fully adjustable.
With class leading torque at 20% more than it’s closest selling competitor, Can Am are confident the Defender can push through the workload ahead of the rest. Power is produced from the all new Rotax HD8 and HD10 V twin engines delivering 50hp and 72hp respectively.
Suspension has ten inches of travel at both the front and rear, drive options are 2×4 or 4×4 with rear difflock. The Defender is accompanied with a comprehensive list of accessories from a snowplough and tracks to lightbars and rifle cases these ATV’s pretty much have the great outdoor activities covered.
To give you peace of mind, Can Am are giving a three year warranty with the truck and have confirmed easy access to key components making it DIY repair and service friendly.
