The Ariel Motor Company is producing an off road dune buggy set for sale next year. Full information is to be revealed at the Birmingham NEC Autosport International Show on the 8th January 2015.
The Nomad has the distinctive Ariel styling with its steel tubular skeleton frame that acts as a roll cage helping maintain a lightweight of just 1,500 pounds. The underside has been reinforced for protection and of course the tyres are off-roaders. Fitted with a Honda 2.4 litre engine rumoured to give 200 horsepower and a 6-speed gearbox this is going to be one quick buggy.
Production is currently only two-wheel drive with road use, Baja’s and Dakar’s in mind but this is just the beginning …
