A celebration day for the late and great Land Rover Defender has been announced, following its end of production.
Pentillie Castle, near St Mellion, Cornwall are holding a Land Rover ‘Defender’ Day on Sunday 20th March from 11am – 4pm. Cars ranging from early Series I’s all the way up to some of the last Defenders produced are expected to grace the event, with displays and an off road driving course laid on by organisers.
Segway experiences, laser clay shooting, and an air rifle shooting competition are among the other attractions at the event, while visitors will also be entitled to free entry to the Pentillie gardens.
“It’s going to be a great opportunity for Land Rover owners to get together, swap stories, look under each other bonnets and get muddy,” commented Ted Croyton, owner of Pentillie Castle.
Pentillie are also holding a social media competition, with Land Rover owners being encouraged to post a photograph on the Pentillie Facebook page or Instagram page using the hashtag ‘#pentilliedefenderday’, to win a spot in the Ultimate Land Rover Display.
Advanced tickets are on sale for £20 per vehicle.
