The new Mitsubishi L200 Pick-up is being officially revealed at the Geneva Car Show this March. The model has sold over 1.6 million trucks since its launch in 2006, so what does the new model have to offer.
Its’ road presence is more imposing with 70mm being added to the load bed, 15mm extra in width and curvaceous robust styling on front and rear. Ground clearance is a modest 205mm but hey, a good set of boots could resolve that if it was an issue.
The biggest improvements have been to the 2.4 litre engine now available in two levels of output, 151bhp with 280lb of torque or 178bhp with 317lb of torque and a reduced 169g and 199g of CO2.
Powered by an all new six speed manual gearbox or a paddle shift automatic box.
The revamp has also overhauled the suspension giving a smoother, quieter ride and sharpened the steering.
The cabin has been redesigned with space and comfort in mind plus all the latest electronic wizardry of 7 airbags, hill start, stability control and the list goes on.
More information and prices will be announced in the near future.
