The new face lifted Daily has arrived with the rugged 4×4 option that looks pretty tough and well thought out. For now the chassis cab is available with two options, short wheelbase (3,050mm) single cab and long wheelbase (3,400mm) crewcab, the latter can carry up to seven passengers if the option is taken on ordering. There is also two GVW options of 3.5t or 5.5t
The Euro 6 engine is a four cylinder 170bhp diesel giving a torque of 400Nm between 1250 to 3000 rpm, the manual six speed gearbox is linked to a four position transfer box. The truck has three diff-locks front, rear and central, making it a pretty capable off road unit.
Body work has also been redesigned to cope with arrival and departure angles on rough terrain giving much better ground clearance, and factory fitted brackets can be ordered for appliances such as snow ploughs, winches, towing eyes etc.
The truck will make an ideal platform for many after market vehicle fit-out companies for camper trucks, rescue and emergency services and utility companies who need to gain access to areas over un-surfaced land.
