The Italians are well known for their love of cars, styling and fashion sense, mix it all up and you are sure to get a nice end product. That is just what Mini Italy produced for the 2016 Valentino Park Motor Show in Turin, last week. Mini Italy have based the style on the BMW R Nine T Scrambler motorcycle.
Called the Mini Clubman All4 Scrambler Concept its a steroid munching saloon off roader that has got the rugged looks to impress most 4×4 lovers.
The matte Frozen Grey paint job, a favorite of BMW’s high performance “M” cars, whilst the roof is black. There’s a luggage rack up top, the tyres look radical and do a good job of filling out the wheel arches. Add the rally lights and a matte black applique on the front and rear bumpers, side sills and around the wheel arches then you have a tough looking little Italian number.
Mini’s tweaks in the cabin are modest. The Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery comes in a rich tan shade, it looks so good Mini should offer some version of the color on the production Clubman, in fact every car should have a tan leather option if it looks this good. The roofliner gets an Alcantara finish too.
There are no details from MINI on the car’s performance figures, but if it’s based on the MINI Clubman S ALL4 then it will get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 189bhp. The standard version goes from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds and up to a top speed of 140mph, but this version isn’t likely to match those figures on account of the huge off-road tyres and less aerodynamic roof rack.
