Land Rover has announced the introduction of their new flag ship Range Rover model, the SVAutobiography Dynamic due in 2017.
It’s the most powerful Range Rover todate thanks to the addition of the 542bhp, 5.0ltr supercharged V8 petrol engine lifted straight from the Range Rover Sport SVR and Jaguar F-Type.
Land Rover says its will deliver “the ultimate combination of performance and handling without compromising Range Rover’s peerless comfort and refinement”. All we know is that it’s capable of a 0-60mph time of 5.1 seconds and a 140mph top speed.
The 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine, also from the F-Type, will be available too, it achieves a 0-60mph time of 7.1 seconds.
The new ‘Dynamic’ spec gives a sportier driving experience with revisions to the suspension with an 8mm lowering of the ride height.
To keep it in contention with the latest German SUV rivals, the luxury 4×4 gains option packs with more driver assist systems. As standard the Range Rover will come with Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning, connected vehicle technology, while an optional Drive Pack brings a blind-spot monitor, traffic sign recognition and rear cross-traffic detection. That Drive Pack also includes a Driver Condition Monitor (DCM), which analyses driving style to guard against fatigue.
You’ll be able to spot the Dynamic model by its chromed quad tailpipes, graphite coloured exterior details, red Brembo brakes and a unique alloy wheel choice. The custom interior includes diamond quilted leather seats, with contrasting stitch work and a knurled rotary shift controller and pedals.
Available from late 2016, prices for the 2017 Range Rover range will start at £76,350 for the TDV6 Vogue, with the SVAutobiography Dynamic coming in at £132,800.
