Around 28,000 vehicles are to be recalled for a fault on the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. This will affect the 2013 to 2014 LR4, 2014 Range Rover and 2014 Range Rover Sport models. The build dates are between 16th September 2013 to 30th June 2014.
The problem is reported to be that the TPMS may not locate the sensors whilst the vehicle is in motion, resulting in a false display of the low pressure warning light even if tyre pressures are correct.
To fix the issue Land Rover are offering a free software update on the Body Control Module or a sensor replacement on some 2013 models. All owners will be notified directly and the recall is expected to start on the 1st December 2014.
