Unveiled this month at the German Motor show the C-X17 is unashamedly aimed at the ‘Chelsea Tractor’ market in Jaguars bid to provide the women’s market with a new sleek and luxury 4×4. At a price of £38,000 – £40,000 this is Jaguar’s first steps into the luxury and affordable family market. A high tech wifi network and console ensure passengers are never out of touch from their social media sites and the glass roof creates a light and airy cabin. To be released in 2017 production is set for Britain’s Solihull factory creating thousands of jobs with the new all-aluminium manufacturing system using recycled metal to produce a single piece chassis. Engine choice will be diesel or a new frugal 70mpg, 2.ltr petrol engine being manufactured at a new purpose built site in Wolverhampton. With the new chassis, eco engine, dashboard display projected on to the windscreen, pilot seats and an impressive top speed of 186mph this C-X17 is cutting a futuristic look and attitude.
