The F- Pace has been confirmed last week by Jaguar as the production version of the C-X17 concept that made it’s debut at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show.
Orders will be taken from autumn 2015 for an early 2016 launch of the 5 seat 4×4 crossover.
The F-Pace is directly linked to the recent recruitment drive by the JLR Group for 1,300 positions with the company and the new Jaguar is to be built at the Solihull plant in the midlands and reaffirms the continuing growth of the leading UK vehicle manufacturer.
The F-Pace is said to have class leading cabin space for the occupants with a vast array of electronic wizardry and luxurious optional extras as would be expected from the Jaguar marque .For the power plants, the vehicle will be offered with a 2.0 ltr Turbocharged petrol, a 3.0ltr V6 petrol and 2.0 ltr turbo diesel engine from the new Ingenium range. Power will be connected to the rubber via the ZF gearbox taken from the JLR stables, no doubt a Land Rover derivative.
A two wheel drive option will without doubt be offered at the entry level of the model range but as yet no details have been released.
Prices are said to start at £36,000.
