For all you petrol heads out there if you didn’t know the Goodwood Festival of speed is on this weekend.
The 2016’s festival theme is “Full Throttle; the Endless Pursuit of Power” and celebrating the BMW centenary year.
The huge sculpture outside Goodwood House incorporates several classic BMW legends.
Held at the Goodwood Estate near Chichester, the festival never disappoints with an incredible showcase of cars old and new, and visitors get to experience everything from rally cars, hot hatches, 4x4s, supercars, F1 cars and heroes from motorsport around the world.
Despite the rain and mud at the start of the event, there has been no let up in the motoring action as the cars race up the famous Goodwood FoS hillclimb and the spectators wander around the numerous static exhibits.
Promoting the offroad world and displaying for the second year running is Ultra 4 Europe with a fine collection of 4×4 racers and teams. The display area shows what these monster off road trucks can do and is offering rides to the public in the vehicles.
Yesterday saw massive interest from the public with huge queues to sit in the co-pilot seats of the trucks, today it seems to be the same story with younger fans having photos taken with their favorite teams and drivers.
