GLASS has joined forces with the National Trust and in their normal manner dealt with a problem proactively and head on. A ranger from the Lake District National Park sent out his SOS to save the historic dry stonewalls that were in danger of collapse and closing the Tilberwaite green lane to all users. GLASS rolled up their sleeves and rallied to the occasion joining various groups of walkers, horse riders, cyclists and of course us 4×4 users to help with volunteers and donations. They achieved the target £4000.00 required and renovation work has now started on two walls.
GLASS is constantly working to join forces with other organisations in a bid to aid local county councils maintain our beloved country lanes and byways. They do incredible work keeping people informed and able to enjoy their pastimes.
