BF Goodrich Launches New All Terrain Tyre

It’s thirty eight years ago since BF Goodrich hit the market with a game-changing tyre that created the all terrain option for your rubbers. One year later the KO was released which became the bench mark for this category for the years to come … until now.
Enter the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 Tyre.
On general release to the public on November 1st, with technology taken from offroad racing development, new materials and production methods, BFG promise the following key features;
lasting twice as long on gravel roads,
15 % longer on asphalt,
10 % more traction in the mud
19 % greater traction in the snow and the tyre will carry the “three peak snowflake” logo to indicate that it exceeds RMA snow traction standards.
bf-goodrich-launches-terrain-ta-ko2-tire3Side walls are tougher with thicker rubber, extended shoulder and the new Core Guard technology developed in the Baja KR2 racing tyre.
Tread life will last longer due to a new tread design comprising of an evenly interlocking pattern which provides better wear over time and incorporate stone ejectors to stop drilling effects. A new rubber compound development has made the tyre harder wearing on tarmac and reduces chipping and cuts on gravels.
Traction is more aggressive thanks to the new tread pattern which includes Side-Bite lugs in the sidewall improve traction in mud, snow and on rocks. Raised bars in the shoulder help release compacted mud for better traction in soft soil. 3-D steps create a biting edge for improved snow traction.
The tyre has superb driving manner with minimum road noise, as would be expected from the guys at BF Goodrich.
