Although the G-Wagen has been around for what seems like eternity, Mercedes never cease to surprise us with the variants they unveil such as the awesome G63 6×6.
Well now word has it that a Mercedes Maybach G-Wagen is on the way in the near future. Whilst there has been no official word from the automaker, in the image above, vehicle is badged as a G650, which falls in line with other current V12-powered Mercedes-Maybach products. With carbon fibre flares and portal axles taken from the G500 4×4-2, the truck looks to be a formidable off roader even with the longer wheelbase.
The typical Maybach treatment means high-quality leather finishes throughout with an increased focus on rear seat comfort and convenience. If this is indeed a G650, it’s packing a 6.0ltr twin-turbocharged V12 under the bonnet that churns out 630 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. The partial convertible top is what gives this the Maybach Landaulet moniker.
With the information given, it seems that only 99 are to be made, with more details to be released in the near future.
